Town of Ahoskie - State of Emergency Proclamation

Pursuant to Chapter 166A of the General Statutes and Article 36A Chapter 14 of the General Statutes, I, Mayor Weyling J. White, have determined that a State of Emergency exists in the Town of Ahoskie, effective starting Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM, until further notice.

I, therefore, proclaim the existence of a State of Emergency in the Town of Ahoskie.

Key Provisions:

Curfew:

All individuals within a 1-mile radius of the Town of Ahoskie must remain inside their homes from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM until further notice. Only law enforcement and emergency response personnel are exempt.

Alcoholic Beverages:

There shall be no sale, public consumption, transportation, or possession of alcoholic beverages in the Town of Ahoskie between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, except for consumption on private property.

Execution of Emergency Plan:

All civilians and emergency response personnel are required to comply with the emergency response plan.

This proclamation is effective immediately as of 10:00 AM on February 19, 2025.
